Getting Started With 360 Degree Surveys

360 degree surveys are a fantastic way to highlight what people really think about you. Our 360 degree surveys are anonymous by design so that people feel comfortable giving their honest opinion, safe in the knowledge that there can be no come back.

Before you can start a 360 degree survey you need to have the following in place:

  • Users in your organisation. Admin users for your organisation can see the list of people who are eligible for 360 surveys by clicking here
  • 360 Degree Categories. Admin users for your organisation can see the list of categories by clicking here
  • 360 Degree Questions. Admin users for your organisation can see the list of questions by clicking here

Once you have all the pre-requisites configured then you can create a 360 survey by clicking here.

  • Enter the name you want to give your survey.
  • Select "360 Degree Feedback" as the survey type.
  • Enter the start date and / or end date if you want to. If you enter a start date then people will be prevented from giving feedback until this date. If you enter an end date then people will no longer be able to give feedback after this date.
  • Provide a brief set of instructions which will appear at the top of the survey.
  • Organisations with paid accounts can limit the number of responses and customise the thank you page that people see after they have given feedback.
  • Finally decide which users in your organisation that feedback will be requested for. You can select all users or individuals by department. Clicking on the department name will select / deselect all users in that department.

Each user can request feedback on different categories.

There must be at least one category setup for every user in the survey at this stage.

If individual users have setup which categories they want feedback for then these categories will appear here. Users can setup their preferred categories by clicking here.

You can override a user's preferences at these stage if you want to.

This step is where you select who will be contacted to provide feedback for each user.

There must be at least one recipient setup for every user in the survey at this stage.

A recipient does not need to exist in your organisation. You only need to provide a valid email address.

If individual users have setup which people they want to ask for feedback for then these email addresses will appear here. Users can setup their preferred person giving feedback by clicking here.

You can override a user's preferences at these stage if you want to.

This final step gives you chance to check you have setup your survey correctly before sending it.

You can save your survey without sending it and return later.

When you are happy then press "Send Out Survey Emails" to start the survey.

Once sent you cannot amend the survey so it's important to check the settings at this stage.

Simply click on the survey and you will be taken to the survey progress page.
